BIOGRAPHY
Uztar is a shoegaze band that was founded in the beginning of 2001, when band members Angel, Gerry, Sal and Frank merged two bands. While Angel and Frank were in the Spanish-rock band, Miosis, Sal and Gerry formed Zira.

Uztar quickly recorded their debut album Mensaje, much sooner than the band's name was formalized. With show after show throughout the local scene and following the release of Mensaje, Uztar began to spark interest of promoters, local magazines, and most importantly, new fans.

Uztar's sound is characterized by spacey guitars and mellow drum beats, which suddenly erupt into noisy fuzzed guitars. The band's influences range from Shoegaze bands Ride, My Bloody Valentine, Swervedriver, to post-rock bands Mogwai, Explosions in the Sky, and Sigur Ros.

In 2006, Frank left the band and was replaced by Dave Cepeda. After taking a three-year recess, Uztar returned to the scene in 2008 and released their second album, Antes que. The album was well received by old fans and new fans alike.

In 2018, Uztar returned with a single Renacer, which was only released on streaming services.

Now, Uztar has released their third album, Sin Planeta. This album is the band's most complete record released and has allured many new fans. The band began to follow up with live performance that allow fans to experience the new album live.
